Wyde is AM Best E-Fusion Finalist in 2009

Quebec City, April 22, 2008 – Wyde, which markets Wynsure, an integrated management solution for insurance companies (general, life, individual and group insurance), has founded Wyde Solutions Canada and selected Quebec City for its national headquarters.
This decision has strategic implications since Quebec City’s insurance sector boasts 11 head offices, 10,000 jobs and more than $5 billion in revenue, accounting for 21% of regional GDP. It also follows the awarding of a major contract with La Capitale insurance company. Wyde’s major investment is expected to generate upwards of 50 new jobs in the Quebec City area over the next three years. Wyde Canada currently has 10 employees and will be recruiting new specialized resources in the near future.
Wyde Solutions Canada is a subsidiary of Wyde Corporation, headquartered in Minneapolis. Wyde’s research and development division is based in Paris, France. The founding of Wyde Solutions Canada reflects the company’s desire to develop Wynsure within the North American market, particularly in Canada. Wyde Canada is also seeking to forge local partnerships with market integrators aimed at speeding its expansion. “The creation of Wyde Solutions Canada and the location of its headquarters in Quebec City are key steps in our development strategy, and demonstrate Wyde’s capacity for growth,” said Didier Lamour, General Manager, Wyde Solutions.
Quebec City mayor Régis Labeaume expressed his pleasure at Wyde Solutions Canada’s decision. “There is no doubt that the insurance industry in the Quebec City region is a dynamic and attractive force. The arrival of a new player such as Wyde will further enhance the reputation of the industry, which continues to fare well despite the difficult economic climate. I am sure that Wyde Solutions Canada will find the ingredients it needs here for its Canada-wide development and will carve out an enviable position both regionally and nationally.”
