Objectives:

Business Objectives

  • The purpose of the project was to replace the core legacy group benefit administration systems in an aggressive timeframe to generate savings in operation through greater automation and in maintenance due to the reuse of a component framework.
  • Add new features required by today's business needs
  • Obtain a more flexible system that can easily answer customer specific needs
  • Inconsistent and incorrect data : require consistency
  • Automate treaty management which is currently manual
  • Required applications:
    • Daily, monthly, annual accounting
    • Update quarterly from customers
    • Treaty and cession management
    • Retro-cession management
    • Claims handling

IS Objectives

  • Existing systems can no longer evolve anymore: Some applications exist on AS400, some processes are manual
